Hyperbole...you may not recognize the word but you know it when you hear it. The word means "an exaggeration or extravagant statement." As Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday the religious leaders looked at the crowd welcoming the teacher from Galilee and exclaimed, "Look, the whole world is going for Him."
Sounds like hyperbole to me, especially in light of what happened to Jesus later on in the week.
Or maybe it wasn't hyperbole after all.
